Fo​od Intolerance Testing WHAT IS A FOOD INTOLERANCE? There is a massive difference between an allergy and a food intolerance. Allergies are often hereditary and will stay with you for life. Intolerances usually develop, due to changes in the health of the digestive system and can be eliminated. The person can be desensitised or regain a healthy bowel and then the intolerance will cease. Typically, intolerances develop from problems with digesting foods correctly and can be a result of over consumption or overexposure to a substance. WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF AN INTOLERANCE? These may include constipation and/or diarrhoea, cramps, very unpleasant and painful wind, or the inability to digest certain foods.
