Gonorrhoea - symptoms and how to test

Gonorrhoea is an STI caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae, often known as gonococcus. Gonorrhoea, a sexually transmitted disease, can develop infection everywhere from the genitalia to the rectum to the throat. In particular, it is widespread among young adults. Even if you feel OK, you may still want to be checked out. Complications, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and testicular infection, can be avoided if gonorrhoea is diagnosed and treated early. Treatment of complications caused by a persistent infection is significantly more challenging.
