Any tests that you require will be chargeable on top during your consultation with the doctor. If organised through a telephone consultation, patients will be sent a form to print out and take to the laboratory walk-in centre themselves (£15 phlebotomy fee applies for blood tests). Many tests can be carried out from a simple urine sample. Checking for syphilis and HIV requires a blood test. If caught early (when there are often no symptoms) many infections can be treated with a simple course of antibiotics which our doctors can prescribe.
